Meekin's Alaska Hunts

Austin and Dorothy Meekin homesteaded at Sheep Mountain in the 1940's where Austin was a big game guide. Mike Meekin was born the 3rd of 6 children in 1952. He grew up guiding on horse back in the Talkeetna and Chugach Mountains. In the late 1970's Mike started using a Super Cub to access the hunting grounds. Mike and Diane were married in 1981 and Samantha was born the 1st of 4 daughters. In 2002 Samantha married Matt Keller who has been working alongside Mike at Sheep Mountain ever since. in 2025 the difficult task of scheduling hunters has been handed to Matt. I pray I can provide the same reliable service Mike has for the last 45 years.

Our Legacy
Your Adventure

We specialize in DIY hunts. You bring your own gear and hunting knowledge, and Mike and I will do our very best to put you in the proximity of huntable game. These are areas we have established and frequented for several decades. We live here, so stewardship of the natural resource is extremely important to us. I want my great-grandkids to be hunting from these same airstrips that we use today.
